Hacking Team was founded in 2003 by Valeriano Bedeschi and David Vincenzetti. The company is an active player in the IT security sector and offers Ethical Hacking services, security tools and intelligence instruments for institutional markets. Hacking Team will be showcasing RCS - a stealth investigative tool for law enforcement agencies for computer's investigations.

RCS is a highly innovative offensive-security system which, in specific circumstances, gives the possibility to put one or more target computers under control. It permits passive monitoring and active control of all data and processes on selected target computers. Such computers might or might not be connected to the Internet.
RCS can monitor and log any action performed by means of a personal computer and communicate the collected information to the central station without being detected (like a spyware):
- Connections to the web sites
- Sent and received email messages
- Written documents
- Keystrokes, including passwords for accessing sensitive/classified information
- Printed documents
- (encrypted) VoIP traffic, such as Skype conversations
